![]() The two-story, eight-room school for grades one through eight became known as the Los Angeles Heights School. ![]() In 1915, a new school was built at its present location at 1915 W. It became part of the Los Angeles School District which was formed in 1913. In the early 1900s, Benjamin Franklin Elementary was originally known as the Waite Academy, a private school located at Neer Avenue and Olmos Drive.
